Harvesting New Software

 Designing software is a lot like picking blueberries.  You have take your time and wander around the subject observing from many different angles.

Logic and Parable

 Logic addresses a group of people who can all agree on a set of axioms and delivers them to a single conclusion.

Logic extends comprehension of one’s current context and binds multiple individuals into a coherence.

Parable addresses a group of people who may not agree on a common set of axioms and delivers them to multiple diverse conclusions.

Parable illuminates a larger context with new dimensions and more possibilities.

Leadership

Before you command others that they do things,  take on the labor of foundation and bridge building.

Prepare a way for them. 

Margin of Respect

Respect  =  Cost / Price * Quality

Reducing costs and quality while maintaining or increasing prices reduces value and respect.

Overcoming Knowledge

I am beginning to have grave doubts about all that I know.

Making Progress

Sometimes proceeding slowly is faster.

Capital Requirements for Quality

In order to produce quality, capitalism requires love and respect just as much as profit and financing.

It is a common misconception that a software developers' job is to write lots of new lines of code.

The reality is that it is a software developer's job to eliminate as many lines of code as possible.
